Join our expert instructor to learn how to apply science of reading-aligned, Orton Gillingham-based SPIRE reading intervention to enable all your students to master the five pillars of reading. Explore how easy it is to apply SPIRE’s multisensory, explicit, systematic instruction to empower striving PreK–8+ students, including those with dyslexia and multilingual learners, to become successful readers.
WORKSHOP PARTICIPANTS:
- Take a deep dive into strategies for teaching through the program’s explicit 10-Step Lesson Plan.
- Gain hands-on, modeled practice for the program’s phonological awareness, phonics, spelling, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension instruction and assessment using the SPIRE 4th Edition STAR program.
- Explore the structure, content, and differentiation opportunities that lead to reading success, as well as assessment and progress monitoring that facilitate dramatic improvements in reading proficiency.
- Learn how to use the SPIRE Placement Test to see where each student fits and will benefit most within the program.
