Join our expert instructor to learn how to apply science of reading-aligned, Orton Gillingham-based SPIRE reading intervention to enable all your students to master the five pillars of reading. WORKSHOP PARTICIPANTS:

  • Take a deep dive into strategies for teaching through the program’s explicit 10-Step Lesson Plan.
  • Gain hands-on, modeled practice for the program’s phonological awareness, phonics, spelling, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension instruction and assessment using the SPIRE 4th Edition STAR program.
  • Explore the structure, content, and differentiation opportunities that lead to reading success, as well as assessment and progress monitoring that facilitate dramatic improvements in reading proficiency.
  • Learn how to use the SPIRE Placement Test to see where each student fits and will benefit most within the program.
