Preventing Academic Failure (PAF) applies the Orton-Gillingham approach to teaching reading, handwriting, and spelling. Using multisensory techniques, this research-based program serves as an effective beginning reading program for all children in the primary grades, or as a program for striving readers and students with learning disabilities. The PAF Handwriting Program works as a key component of the reading program and can also be used as a stand-alone classroom handwriting program.
Preventing Academic Failure (PAF)
PAF is a comprehensive three-year program for teaching reading, writing, and spelling in the primary grades using multisensory techniques. PAF is designed to prevent reading failure in children with learning disabilities when begun in kindergarten or first grade, but it can also be used as an effective beginning reading program for all children.
PAF Handwriting Program
PAF Handwriting Program provides students with practice writing print and cursive letters and numerals, promoting legible handwriting abilities even in students with graphomotor weaknesses.
