Join literacy leaders and educators from across Iowa for a half-day professional learning experience focused on helping students move beyond decoding toward stronger vocabulary, comprehension, and meaning-making.
Grounded in the Science of Reading, this session explores how morphology instruction can accelerate literacy growth across grade levels through meaningful word study. Participants will gain practical, research-based strategies to strengthen vocabulary, spelling, decoding, and comprehension.
The session will also include an overview of the SPIRE Literacy Suite, including SPIRE Up and Megawords, and how these solutions support striving readers after foundational decoding skills are established. Educators will leave with a clearer understanding of how the suite works together to support long-term literacy success.
