Organizing Materials for Multisensory Reading Instruction

Organizing Materials for Multisensory Reading Instruction
Share on email Share on facebook Share on linkedin Share on x

Literacy intervention programs that include multisensory instruction typically require teachers to manage a variety of materials and supplies. By putting an organizational system in place, lessons become easier to deliver and instructional time runs more smoothly.

When materials are well-organized, lesson routines become more efficient, pacing improves, and student engagement is easier to maintain. Instead of searching for resources during instruction, teachers can focus their attention on students and learning. While setting up an organizational system takes upfront effort, the investment can save instructional time throughout the year.

As you prepare for the school year, consider how materials will be organized, accessed, and replenished. Look at examples from other educators to get practical ideas that fit your students, instructional routines, and teaching space.
