Join us to explore orthography and its importance in developing reading and writing skills. Orthography is more than just spelling, and this webinar expands our understanding beyond this single idea. Knowledge of spelling, word structure, and syllable types are all covered in this session. Participants will investigate the internal cognitive processes involved in spelling and word building. You will build a deeper understanding of orthography as it relates to instantaneous recall of words. Spelling is made difficult by the structure of English with several spelling rules students must learn. These rules are touched on, resources are provided, and hands-on activities are shared to provide support that you can apply to teaching a wide range of learners.
